Manipur Central Agricultural University

Manipur Central Agricultural University was established in Manipur in 1992 with a specific objective to groom agricultural researchers and students in th region. Since its inception, Central Agricultural University has been functioning as a proactive research in the field of agricultural sciences for the six states, situated in the north east of India.

Today, Central Agricultural University is known to offer world-class programmes in wide-ranging disciplines of agricultural – sciences.

The Central Agricultural University is headquartered at the capital city-Imphal. The University became functional with the joining of first Vice-Chancellor on 13th September, 1993. The jurisdiction of the University extends to six North-Eastern Hill States viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura.

Apart from the regular courses like B.Sc, B.Tech, M.Sc, M.J, and M.Tech for the Indian students, there are courses for foreign students also.

Mode of Selection: Selection of (Agril) is done by respective state Govts. Of NEHR in their own Entrance Exam / Test.

Hostels: Separate Hostel for Boys and Girls are available. 2 hostels for Boys(UG & PG Hostel) & 1 hostel for Girls.

Library Facility: There are more than 10000 books covering of 7000 titles and more than 70 Indian journals on Agriculture Allied subject. In addition to this 16 Foriegn journals on differet disciplines are subscribed every year.
